Paymentsense has been ranked 70th in The 2016 Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100, a list of the UK’s fastest-growing technology, media and telecoms companies.
Paymentsense posted annual sales growth of 53% over the last three years. This is the second year in a row it has placed on the Tech Track 100 and the company was also ranked seventh in the 2013 listings. Paymentsense is one of only a few UK tech companies who have maintained a high growth rate since its initial listing.
As well as ranking in the Tech Track 100, Paymentsense has also been announced as a finalist in the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2016. The company will be competing in the Digital Business of the Year Award category.
Commenting on the announcement, Jed Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Paymentsense said, “We are thrilled and honoured to be short-listed again for The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100. Our teams are intensely focused on creating a better card processing experience in every way for SMEs. Our continued progress is clearly shown by the rapidly growing number of businesses from across the UK and Ireland that choose Paymentsense every day.“
The 100 companies featured in this year’s listing grew their sales over the last three years by an average of 88% a year to a total of £2.2bn. Together they employ 11,000 staff, having added 8,200 jobs over the period.
The Tech Track 100 is sponsored by Hiscox, Barclays, BDO and BGF, and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events firm.
Steve Langan, CEO of Hiscox Insurance Company, the title sponsor of the league table, commented, “The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 never fails to impress and this year is no different. We are proud to be associated with it, not least as we support more than 40,000 technology companies across the UK and Ireland and see first-hand their tenacity and infectious ambition. Congratulations to all of those listed this year – the growth and innovation they demonstrate is highly commendable.”
